THAT woke me up.
So, this morning, I randomly decided to google “SelphieTerra” an old name I used to go by.
There was one result:

Now, I will say this, that story of mine? Old. And yes, it IS very bad.
What do you expect? I was first starting out. I won’t deny it, the story’s horrendous. I was embarresed to reread it.
BUT.
What would’ve happened if I had read it back in ‘04? I would’ve been crushed. Hell, I would’ve been crushed NOW, and would’ve said, “FUCK it, I’m never writing again”, if I didn’t know better.
Point is, is that, these people purposely go out, and find stories to humilate. It’s cruel, and in all honesty, just plain stupid.
The only times I honestly make fun of mary-sues and such, is if
1) The character is stolen and modified.
2) The picture is stolen
3) If it’s just really that bad.
But,even then, I don’t really make fun of it. I laugh and, “Wow, that kinda reminds me how bad I was. Oh well.” and me and Aya might laugh a little. Mainly, we could care less about mary-sues. Our main issue really is grammer and such.
But these people, what the hell do they expect? Not everyone is *POOF* a super writer. It takes time and practice. I was like, 10 when I wrote that.
In any event, I laughed at it. Shrugged. Told Aya. Yea, I was a bit peeved, (still am.) But, in the end, I’ll take the critism and use it. I might e-mail them a nice little e-mail telling them about how it takes time be a writer. I’m not gonna act pissy. They can take it as such, I won’t give a damn.

(P.S. A little sidenote: yes, Auriki’s hair was orignaly magenta. Magenta as in, the color Magenta is in Blues Clues. Not “HTML” magenta. Yes. They resorted to a cheap shot.

The last post on that LJ is like, from 2005. So I wouldnt read too much into it. People who are uncreative do nothing but try to critique people who try to be creative.
